We built Nerativ because we watched B2B brands spend years on content marketing and paid ads while their buyers were getting purchase recommendations from Reddit threads and AI models neither side had thought to optimize for.

Why we exist

The shift everyone saw coming but nobody addressed

B2B buyers stopped trusting vendor content years ago. They moved to peer communities: Reddit, Slack groups, practitioner forums. Then AI made it worse for brands that weren't paying attention.

When ChatGPT crossed 100 million users and Perplexity started replacing Google for research queries, the sourcing question changed. AI models don't cite press releases. They cite Reddit. They cite practitioner discussions. They cite the places where buyers have been going for years to get unfiltered opinions.

Reddit appeared in 40.1% of LLM citations across major AI models. Reddit made up 22% of GPT-3's training data. The channel most B2B marketers dismissed as too risky or too hard to measure turned out to be the primary input for the AI systems now recommending products to buyers.
